Event description

Description

“I would rather be surrounded by smart people than have a huge budget.” - McKinsey Associate

We are delighted to invite anyone who cares about the social impact to our first BNest “Ask & Advise” Evening.

The idea is simple – we would love to gather together for one evening – all those who want to make a positive social change in Limerick and surrounding areas. This will be an evening of chat, networking and problem solving over pizza and beer.

Since starting BNest – we’ve seen so many amazing and unexpected connections made nearly instantly in a room full of passionate people. It is always easy to get them talking about their passion and soon you hear:

“I know who you should talk to…”

“yes, we’ve been there before…”

“you know there is a fund for that…

”why don’t you try this – it worked really well for us…”

BNest “Ask & Advise” Evening will be an actually useful networking event where you can ask for help, offer your advice, find inspiration and support each other.

This event is for social changemakers who:

• are involved in social enterprises – juggling business and social impact – at all stages from idea to start-ups to established organisations

want to connect with like-minded people

have a problem, but don’t know who to ask

are searching for a contact, but not sure where to look

are planning next steps and need advice

and on the other side it is also for professionals and members of public who:

want to engage in conversations around the things that matter

would like to collaborate on passion projects (i.e. emerging social enterprises or charities)

want to contribute their skills, experience and knowledge to create new opportunities.

Everyone is welcome – whatever your skill might be: technical, financial, legal, marketing, sales, planning & strategy, information technology, supply chain or people focused skills; if you rock at social meda or know pretty much everyone in town – we need all hands on deck! And even if you don’t get a chance to give your advise on the night – you will get to spend an evening amongst many interesting people!

Whether you have a question to ask, problem to be solved, want to share your expertise, get involved in worthy initiatives or simply make some interesting connections – we would love to have you in the room!

Our event will be hosted by Chris MM Gordon – business and a social entrepreneur, the CEO of the Irish Social Enterprise Network (Socent.ie) and BCorp Ireland.

We hope to see you there,
BNest Team

PS
If you have a question and want to make sure you’ll get a chance to ask it – please get in touch at info@bnest.ie.
