Description

Background

There are at least 62,000 people in Ireland whose Family Caring ends annually. Family Caring ends generally following the death of a loved one or admission into long term care. In collaboration with a number of former Family Carers and other not-for profit organisations including the Irish Hospice Foundation, the HSE, UCC, and West Cork Carers Support Group, Care Alliance Ireland has produced an A5 booklet aimed at former Family Carers. The target audience is Family Carers who are no longer providing care (in any way); generally due to the death of a loved one.

This publication has been made possible thanks to support from the National Lottery and the Department of Rural and Community Development via Pobal.

This booklet will be available in hard copy and online at www.carealliance.ie from the day of the launch.

All launch attendees will be given a complimentary copy of the booklet.

Former Family Carers are particularly welcome to this launch.

Requests for multiple copies from organisations/support groups etc, for receipt at the launch, can be emailed in advance to info@carealliance.ie
