An explosion of gender violence, the cost of living crisis, battles for bodily autonomy - we need socialist feminism now more than ever!

About this event

The cost of living crisis, an explosion of gender violence, brutal war, the growth of far right ideas, climate chaos - that's capitalism in 2022.

In the context of the shadow pandemic of gender violence, we've seen the tragic femicide of Ashling Murphy and horrific homophobic murders of Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee in only the last few months. We say "never again" - let's build on the deep outpouring of rage and solidarity to build a movement to end all misogynist, homophobic and transphobic violence.

Despite incredible victories for reproductive rights in Argentina and Mexico in the last year, the attacks on abortion access in the US have reached new heights with the likely overturn of Roe v Wade.

With women workers on the frontline and the breadline, chosing between heating and eating, in precarious, low paid work - we have reached breaking point. We can expect to see explosions of struggle in feminised workplaces and on the streets!

We must make sure the new global feminist wave is socialist feminist - we need it now more than ever!

We will be joined by Camilla Power from the Radical Anthropology Group, speaking on "The Revolution That Made Us Human," as well as Ruth Coppinger, former TD, and socialist feminist activists from around the world.

Full agenda and speakers coming soon!

There is no entry charge for this event, but all donations are appreciated to help fund our activism and campaigns!
