BREXIT IN PRACTICE - An Industry Perspective. ONLINE EVENT
About this event
On the 1st January 2021, the United Kingdom completed the transition period and became a Third Country in terms of trade with the European Union. A Free Trade Agreement (FTA) for goods but not services was agreed before Christmas between the EU and UK. Northern Ireland’s position in these new arrangements is covered by the Northern Ireland Protocol which essentially leaves NI in the European Single Market and Customs Union.
These new arrangements present many challenges for all businesses which trade between the two islands. The purpose of the Webinar on 19th March, is to look at how these new arrangements affect the food industry in particular. We have experts to discuss the following key topics: VAT and Customs Regulations; Sanitary and Phytosanitary Controls; Logistics and the supports that are available to help companies manage the new way of doing business.
The event will be presented by Deirdre Maguire from InterTradeIreland.
We look forward to you joining us on the day.
