BT Ireland - Cyber Security Workshop - How To Stop The Hackers
Wed 26 April 2017, 09:00 – 17:00 IST
Join us for this Hands-On technical workshop and get expert advice on building a next-generation IT Security Platform— one that can discourage attackers and actually prevent them from penetrating your IT environment. You will also learn how the architecture of your security defences can impact business enablement, protecting it against a wide variety of attacks, and supporting unique and specific security use case scenarios.
Morning Workshop – Palo Alto Networks, Next Generation Firewalls
In this workshop you will learn the importance of stopping unknown malware and tying cyber-attacks to specific users and devices so they can be stopped efficiently. This is a Hands-On technical workshop dedicated to restoring visibility and control over the applications, users and content traversing your network. In this workshop you will learn how to:
• Establish policies to enable applications based on users and groups
• Enable specific application features while restricting others
• Configure a policy for decrypting, inspecting, and allowing SSL
• Safely enable mobile devices using Global Protect
Afternoon Workshop – TRAPS Advanced Endpoint Protection
Most organizations deploy a number of security products to protect their endpoints, including one or more traditional antivirus solutions. Nevertheless, cyber breaches continue to increase in frequency, variety and sophistication. Faced with the rapidly changing threat landscape, current endpoint security solutions and antivirus can no longer prevent security breaches on the endpoint. Palo Alto Networks® Traps™ advanced endpoint protection replaces traditional antivirus with a unique combination of the most effective, purpose-built, malware and exploit prevention methods that pre-emptively block known and unknown threats from compromising a system.
In this workshop you will learn more about how TRAPS does the impossible.
How TRAPS unique exploit prevention protects against malicious data files
Palo Alto Networks policy restrictions and unique integration with Wildfire for powerful executable prevention
Increasing visibility between the network and endpoint for complete enterprise security
There are only 15 places available for this workshop and it will be on a first come first served basis.
This workshop requires attendees to provide their own laptops with a RDP client installed so you won’t have any delay with participating in the hands-on portion.
