Building resilience into practice education for health science students
Event Information
About this Event
This seminar aims to help dietitians and other allied health professionals involved in practice education to effectively support students, and to protect their own wellbeing as they carry out this vital role during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will have two principal speakers:
Dr Carol Hills, Senior Lecturer and Practice Education Coordinator, who has extensive experience managing and researching practice education in Ireland and internationally
Michael Comyn, a broadcaster, coach, business trainer, podcaster, and producer, who has significant experience in building leadership, emotional intelligence, and resilience
Carol will discuss how we can manage challenges common to practice education during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Michael (www.comyn.ie) will provide advice on how we can personally manage our wellbeing as we train and educate students in a more challenging healthcare environment.
This event is part of the 20-21 National Seminar Series, funded by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
