Bernard Walsh

Bernard has worked for over 20 years in banking and finance. He is currently Head of Pensions and Investments at Bank of Ireland Life. He previously worked for Ulster Bank, Barclays Bank and Trustee Savings Bank. He is a regular commentator on finance and economic matters in the media. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork and postgraduate qualifications from University College Dublin and Coventry University. He has previously served as a Director in the Credit Union sector and serves on a Trustee Board.


Paul Merriman

Paul cut his teeth in the industry for 15 years with RSA and Irish Life before striking out on his own in 2010. In 2011 he bought over PAX Financial Planning which offers professional financial advice in the area of Wealth Management, Retirement Planning, Asset Protection and Investments.

During this time Paul became a Qualified Financial Advisor and in 2011, obtained the designation Certified Financial Planner® by the Financial Planning Standards Board Ireland. Certified Financial Planners® are members of an international community of elite financial planning practitioners who are committed to upholding the professions most rigorous global standards and putting clients interests first.

Paul regularly appears on TV3's 'Ireland AM' as a financial advisor.


Frances Lenihan

Frances Lenihan is a Director in Deloitte’s Cork Office and has over 10 years’ experience with Deloitte. As part of the Corporate & International Tax team, Frances currently advises on a wide range of cross border and domestic topics including corporate group reorganisations, IP structures, financing transactions and also has significant experience in the areas of merger and acquisition transactions and corporation tax compliance. In addition, Frances also has significant experience working with clients in relation to their tax policies and procedures.
