Description

Recent policy developments at Department of Communications, Climate, Action and the Environment and the Department of An Taoiseach have pushed the Bioeconomy to the top of Ireland’s national sustainability agenda. Currently worth over €2 Trillion annually and accounting for 22 million jobs in Europe, the next decade will see the creation of another 700,000 jobs, 80% of which will be in rural communities.

AgriForValor will host a one-day workshop kicking off its Bio-Enterprise Academy at the Guinness Enterprise Centre in Dublin. The event designed specifically for biobased entrepreneurs will hear from leading industry experts like Carbery and Natureworks PLA on new business models in the emerging bioeconomy.

Investment groups, funding and support agency representatives from HBAN, Finistere Ventures, Horizon 2020 and SEAI will also be on hand to answer questions and meet Ireland’s budding biobased entrepreneurs. Participants will receive access to training materials. A prize of €1,000 and the opportunity to present at the AgriForValor closing conference in Brussels is on offer for the participant developing the best business model on the day.

Place are very limited. Registrations of Interest can made through eventbrite or contact James.Gaffey@staff.ittralee
