Description

This year's show is looking like it's going to be the best ever. Due to the popularity of the show and increased numbers of attendees each year we have expanded to "The Atrium" in Aviva Stadium. Please take a few moments to register for the show - we will be posting more details on seminars and workshops etc shortly.This year we will live stream the seminars and exhibitor interviews on both days.

Special Thanks to Sound Network for providing the Sony digital Wirless systems and DPA Microphones that will be used for all our talks and workshops for the duration of our event,


  • Panasonic AU-EVA1 ( Tuesday 13.45 - 14.15)


We will be joined by Rob Tarrant, UK Technical Manager, who will be running through the key features of the camera through live demonstration. This will include a look at the new 5.7K sensor and its benefits, the dual-native ISO technology of 800 and 2500, and a run-through the Version 2.0 firmware. We will also have the EVA1 on our stand for those that wish to get hands-on with the camera.

  • Lighting – All you ever wanted to know but were afraid to ask! (Monday 13.45 - 14.30, Tueesday 10.15 - 11.00)

Mark Moreve is a London based Freelance Lighting Cameraman with 20 years experience in the Film & TV Industry. Nominated for a BAFTA for his camerawork and lighting Mark shoots all genres of TV broadcast & corporate from drama and commercials to pop promos and interviews.

Mark will demonstrate the latest LED lighting technology from Kino Flo and Dedolight and explain how these tools give him a complete creative freedom on set every day. During this hands-on seminar you will be shown how to light a typical interview setup within limited amount of time and how to control your image with minimum effort. Mark will also explain the basics of colour science and the effect it has on the picture that is generated on your camera sensor.

  • Canon - Our "Eos" family expand's with the New Eos C200 (Monday 11.45 - 12.30, Tuesday 12.30 - 13.15)

Pro filmmaker Bret Danton, who has been capturing the stories for some major international brands for the past 20 years will be sharing his experiences with us of working with the Canon C200 on his recent Jaguar Tv advert.

Bret travels the world working with global agencies and photographic brands and he will be taking you through the "How To" of the C200. Bret will be available on both days to give hands-on demonstrations on the Canon stand.

Technical Specialist Sebastian Kanabar will be presenting:

Intro to Streaming ( Monday 10.45 - 11.15, Tuesday 11.30 - 12.00) - covering streaming to a single destination using the entry level kit. Mainly talking about Teradek VidiU Pro, Teradek Cube, and Blackmagic Design Web Presenter.

Streaming for Broadcast ( Monday 14.30 - 15.00, Tuesday 13.15 - 13.45) - covering streaming to multiple destinations, covering Teradek Bond, Sputnik, CORE, plus T-RAX. We’ll talk about advanced topics, such as point to point, and H.265 streaming.

  • Paul, a world-renowned Cinemagropher will tell the story of ‘Magpie’, an independent production co-directed with writer Carmel Hannant.

Join the masterclass to learn how he and his team achieved huge production value and crafted a film that would normally require ten times the budget.

Paul will outline a process that started with kickstarter funding, forging close partnerships with leading organisations and individuals, and championing local creative talent and locations.

He will then showcase the latest lighting techniques he employed to achieve a creative and authentic look including:

  • How to approach cine style lighting with today’s cameras

  • Quick set ups (mobile/battery powered lights)

  • How to set the mood with lighting

  • Lighting for different skin tones

The cameras built in foldout monitor, ND filters and interchangeable lens mount let you work with EF, PL, F and B4 lenses and set up for any shoot. Taking the camera’s RAW or compressed ProRes files you can use DaVinci Resolve to import, backup, edit, colour correct and finish your projects. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free parking available all day via the Lansdowne Lane entrance orange route on map below.From the carpark there is an escalator straight up to the entrance of the Atrium.

People wishing to traveling on the Dart can disembark at lansdowne road dart station.There will be a security guard across the road at the bottom of the pedestrian entrance stairs to the Atrium.


Can I bring a friend to the event?

Yes of course, the more the merrier however you need to register both you and your guest for free on eventbrite.
