What is the Camino about?
CaminoWays.com will introduce the history, routes and culture of the Camino de Santiago, the famous Way of St James as well as practical advice to plan your trip. The Camino de Santiago is a large network of ancient pilgrim routes stretching across Europe and coming together at the tomb of St. James in Santiago de Compostela in north-west Spain.
Outback Jacks will be presenting a slideshow on the night of our NEW FREE Camino Gear Guide jam packed with useful information to enjoy your camino adventure. The guide will contain essential information on suitable waterproof breathable footwear, blister free socks, fast drying baselayer pants and moisture wicking tops. This essential advice will provide you with the confidence to choose the correct products to pack your bags with and fabrics to wear for your Camino adventure.
Benefits of the Camino Walking Holiday:
Most of us will experience difficult moments or transitions in our lives: retirement, divorce, bereavement, redundancy, empty nest, career burnout, health scare and seeking a meaningful and fulfilling path. These life changing events can often stop you in your tracks, leaving you feeling alone and stuck for long periods of time.
For many people, it is only through firstly obtaining clarity, understanding and perhaps acceptance of these seemingly impossible situations that they can begin to get back into the flow of life.
Today, more and more people are taking time out to reflect on where they find themselves by ‘pausing’ their life to walk all or part of Spain’s 1,200 year old pilgrimage road called the Camino de Santiago. The time and space received on the Camino, for quality thinking and reflection, enables the first steps of a personal transformation journey to begin.
Even better than the reconnection with the great outdoors is the (re)connection with other people, particularly those from different cultural backgrounds.
This event is free but there are limited spaces so make sure you book your place in advance via our eventbrite link -> http://bit.ly/CaminoOJ17 on Outback Jacks facebook page or simply call us at 091 761841 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
