Camino Training in March 2017 (#CaminoTraining)
Sat 4 March 2017, 10:00 – 13:00 GMT
The next walk in our #CaminoTraining 2017 will be from Bray to Greystones on Saturday the 4th of March at 10am. This will give you an opportunity to meet other pilgrims and start training for your Camino.
The meeting point will be the Dart Station in Bray at 10am. We will start with a 30 minute introduction and gentle stretches where we will give advice on what to bring with you on the Camino.
Book your place today for the small fee of €10 which will go to charity. The closing date for booking is the 2nd March.
Here is some information about the walk:
The hill dominates the end of the promenade and the stone cross is an iconic feature of the town. While the climb is fairly straightforward, some parts will challenge you.
If the hike up doesn’t leave you breathless the views sure will!
To start the climb, follow the promenade towards the hill. The real climb begins at the steps; from here there is a well worn path straight up to the cross. The path will bring you up through trees and on a dirt path.
After the Cross we continue to follow the path to the South. The path will veer off to the right and follow it to come out at Windgates on the Bray to Greystones Road.
