Tipperary Heritage Way

We’ll meet at the Rock of Cashel car park, and then we’ll take a hired bus (included in the price) to the starting point. This walk is entirely alongside the River Suir with a treasure trove of sights of castles and abbeys along the way.

Rock of Cashel

First is Suir Castle, then the amazing Athassel Abbey which walkers can explore. Then, the trail goes through Golden village passing Golden Castle. The next castle to pass is Ballynahinch Castle then onto the magnificent Hore Abbey which can again be explored; the trail finishes at the Rock of Cashel.

A great way to explore Ireland’s biodiversity and wildlife!

The Tipperary Heritage Way goes through a variety of grasslands which are filled with an abundance of wildlife by the river including dragonflies, butterflies, marsh marigold, water lilies, and native trees including hazel, beech, ash and willow. An array of birds can also be seen including herons, kingfishers, swans and wild ducks to name but a few.

Follow the Camino

Follow the Camino organises walking and cycling holidays in Europe for adventure seekers from all over the world. Since 2006, we’ve offered a great range of manageable walks and cycles for all age groups, in particular on the famous Camino de Santiago. We were the first ever tour operator to operate the Camino de Santiago by creating manageable sections along the main routes to Santiago de Compostela. We are often copied but never equalled!
