Event description
Carnation Theatre presents a short play about a War of Independence story that tells the story of three extraordinary women...

About this Event

The War of Independence story that no one has told, based on the testimonies of these extraordinary women.

Elizabeth Bloxham, a Protestant teacher, pamphleteer, radicaliser. Peg Flanagan, a waitress, gun-runner, spy and witness to Bloody Sunday. And Bridget Fitzpatrick, a central figure in the ambushes at Knocklong and Soloheadbeg. A telegram from her that read 'Greyhound On Train' was instrumental in securing the escape of Sean Hogan in the famous ambush at Knocklong.

Greyhound on Train is based on the real testimonies of these four extraordinary women. Admission free and suitable for families and all ages.
