Description
Friends,
I was honoured to be elected to Dublin City Council in May 2014 by the people of Crumlin - Kimmage. Thank you for your support and help in achieving this.
Since my election I have taken every opportunity to fight for my constituents. I have raised many matters including issues on housing, crime, health and the economy. I am determined to work tirelessly and fight for those people who need help most in Dublin South Central.
Friends, I need your help to do so. As I prepare for the forthcoming General Election, it is vital that I get my message out. I can only do so if I have the necessary resources to effectively communicate with the electorate. I am asking you contribute to my campaign. Every cent raised will be spent campaigning, purchasing leaflets, posters and effectively communicating with my constituents. Dublin South Central itself is a constituency with many challenges where we are faced with a massive housing crisis, social inequality and lack of educational support. This inevitably leads to less job opportunities and lesser pay for the few jobs that are available for our young people.
Many of the residents in Dublin South Central have not seen the fruits of this supposed economic recovery. Since 2011 this constituency has been ignored by the FG and Labour Government. There has been no investment in essential services or amenities and I am committed to changing that. It is time now to show the people of Dublin South Central that a vote for Catherine Ardagh on behalf of Fianna Fail is a vote for equality, fairness and opportunity.
If I am elected to Dáil Éireann I will fight hard for my constituents to ensure that there is:
- Equality of tax treatment for the self employed
- Changes to the CGT regime to support and encourage enterprise
- Generous Tax credits for working parents who have high childcare costs
- An increase in the social housing supply by supporting a local authority building program.
- A fully resourced Garda Siochana
If you are in a position to contribute to my campaign I would be very grateful. Please forward your contributions to Catherine Ardagh, 15b St. Agnes Road, Crumlin Village, Dublin 12. All contributions to the campaign are greatly appreciated.
I am holding a special super draw breakfast on the 4th of November in the Grand Canal Hotel, Grand Canal Streeet Upper, Dublin 4 at 7.30am. Micheal Martin, Uachtaráin Fianna Fáil, will be the guest speaker at the event and he will be joined by other members of the Parliamentary Party. Tickets for this event cost €100 and you will receive two super draw tickets. I hope you will be in a position to attend.
Once again, thank you for your support to date and I look forward to meeting you on 4 November.
Best regards,
Catherine Ardagh
