CATU Ireland AGM 2021 - Building Community During and After the Pandemic
Event Information
About this Event
2020 has been a year of massive upheaval in communities, workplaces, and daily life, and it appears 2021 will be no different. In this timeframe CATU Ireland has been established, and grown massively. It is now time to reflect on the year, and decide our goals and priorities for the next one.
The AGM is the main large-scale decision making meeting of your union, which occurs annually. In it, a review of the year is presented. Members propose and vote on motions about their union, as well as electing the national committee/board of directors to coordinate your union for the following year. Your participation in the AGM is vital to building the democracy of your union, alongside your fellow members.
The AGM will be hosted online, with online voting done in advance of the day. Members please keep an eye on your emails for voting details. Registrants to this eventbrite event will receive information around how to access the online event.
Note that only members can attend and have voting rights. You can join as a member here: https://catuireland.org/join/
We are also excited to announce a post-AGM panel on Saturday evening featuring participants from tenants’ unions and movements across the world. This will be streamed publically so no need to register. Watch this space for more details!
