Event description

Description

Have you every thought about fermenting your own foods? At this workshop, you’ll learn how to make your own kefir, kombucha and sauerkraut so that you can enjoy fermented foods at home. You’ll meet scientists from APC Microbiome Ireland and hear from them how microbes can be beneficial to our gut health and overall well-being. You’ll also leave with a fermented foods recipe booklet.

Fermentation is an ancient old method of preserving food dating back to 7000 BC. By attending this workshop, you’ll get up to speed on the most current research in the area of fermented foods.
