Enhancing student engagement and success is at the core of planning for a new blended learning environment, and Technological University Dublin is aiming for all stakeholders have a voice in the technology and techniques being implemented including staff, students and professional services. As part of this collaborative process, you are invited to celebrate and recognize our student’s success in progressing during the pandemic through a series of strategic conversations to share experience and shape our practice as we step beyond our emergency move to Responsive Blended Learning to a ‘new normal’. These conversations will take place over two online events, with the context being how teaching and learning is valued in the Faculty of Business, TU Dublin.

Our first event is entitled 'Celebrating and Valuing our Student’s Success during the Pandemic' and takes place in MS Teams on Friday 12th November,1.30pm – 3.30pm.

Planning for post-pandemic T,L,A- a wider Perspective

Keynote Speaker Professor Alejandro Armellini, Dean of Digital & Distributed Learning, University of Portsmouth shares his perspectives on active blended learning highlighting the need to remain focused on quality teaching in our digital strategic plans and practice, and explores a number of post-pandemic success scenarios for higher education.

Themed practice-sharing sessions

Following the keynote speaker, 3 themed breakouts will run in parallel where staff from across the business disciplines will share their experiences on (please choose which of the sessions below you will attend ):

  1. Valuing student engagement online
  2. Enhancing student employability through extracurricular events
  3. Innovative technology use for learning, teaching and assessment
