Event description

Description

IADT has been at the forefront of teaching and researching into the online world for the last ten years. We are having a celebration of this milestone which is open to anyone interested in the field of cyberpsychology.

We will have talks by two experts in the field: Dr. Gráinne Kirwan (IADT) and Dr. James O'Higgins Norman (DCU), as well as demonstrations of VR technology and graduate speakers talking about their research projects.

Dr. Gráinne Kirwan is a Chartered Psychologist (BPS) and lecturer in psychology (IADT) and has co-authored/co-edited five books in the area of cyberpsychology. She sits on the Editorial Board of the 'Cyberpsychology, Behaviour, & Social Networking' journal and the CORU Psychologists Registration Board.

Professor James O'Higgins Norman PC, MStJ, FRSA holds the UNESCO Chair on Tackling Bullying in Schools and Cyberspace at Dublin City University. He is the director of the National Anti-Bullying Research and Resource Centre, and a member of the Government of Ireland Advisory Council on Online Safety.

This event is open to the public, and we hope to see all of you with an interest in cyberpsychology as well as many of the graduates of our programme on the day to help us celebrate.
