Celtic Folklore and Irish Nature Illustration Workshop (11am)
Event Information
About this event
Irish nature and folklore are intrinsically linked, and both play a role in the stories we learn as children. These series of sessions will delve into the subject through the medium of illustration. Illustration is a wonderful tool that can be used as a form of both expression and learning. We will look at learning Irish nature and the connection to Celtic folklore and traditions by visiting local parks.
Led by visual artist Grace Haynes, who is currently writing a children education book in Irish and English, this will be a basis for by information and design of the workshops. The young people will create artwork in response to the stories and information. The artwork created and put together in a digital booklet and will be displayed online after Cruinniú na nÓg 2022
