Event description
The Parents Association have organised a talk for January 2020. "Supporting Parents to Support their Childrens Mental Health and Wellbeing"

About this Event

National Parents Council Primary & St. Patrick's Mental Health Services .

This session offers you information on how you can support your child’s mental health and well-being. It will give you a chance to reflect on the meaning of mental health and well-being. It explores the skills that parents and families can put into practice which make a difference in their children's lives. Finally, in the session we explore ‘self-care for parents’ as an important part of mental health and well-being.

All parents of primary school children are welcome to attend.

This is suitable for adults only, as some topics covered may not be suitable for children.

Parents who attend this session will:

• Explore the factors that influence mental health and wellbeing in their children

• Learn how to build and nurture resilience within their own child

• Understand what children need for positive mental health and wellbeing

• Look at ways in promoting wellbeing in children

• Be given information on how best to support their children’s positive mental health and wellbeing.

Join us at 7pm for a special presentation by Bríd Stack on our schools Weaving Well-Being Programme.
