Description

The Pilgrim Path / St Kevin’s Way Challenge Hike
St Kevin’s Way follows in the footsteps of St Kevin through the hills of Wicklow to the monastic ruins in Glendalough. This route takes you through a wide variety of landscapes around the Wicklow Gap and the ancient flagstone pilgrim path near Lough Nahanagan. We will make our way down through the spectacular Glendasan Valley as we cross picturesque bridges as we hike towards Glendalough.

We follow the Glendasan River and pass some Christian retreat houses. We take in the stunning scenery in these secluded valleys where St. Kevin spent his life in prayer. As we reach Glendalough Valley we will get see the iconic round tower and the extensive monastic ruins of Glendalough. We then make our way around picturesque lake shore trails on the valley floor valley while enjoying the beautiful views across the lake. We will stop to learn about Temple Na Skellig, St Kevins Bed and other ancient sites.

What makes this challenge even more enjoyable is our expert guides will immerse you in the history of this ancient pilgrim path and landscape.

After the challenge we will enjoy food and refreshments after a tough day of hiking.
