About this event

Reviewing the Skills on your Board - A Virtual Coffee Morning for Charity Trustees!

This session will include a Q&A with our guest speakers.

We will discuss practical tips for reviewing the skills on your board to encourage more strategic board recruitment, for charities of all sizes.

About Boardmatch:

Boardmatch is the only Irish charity that specialises in charity board recruitment. We match individuals that are looking to volunteer their time and skills at board level, with charities and not-for-profits that have board and committee vacancies. We believe the right balance of skilled voluntary trustees provides a not-for-profit with the necessary skills to respond to changes, meet the challenges of the sector and to achieve their strategic objectives. We have over 1,000 not-for-profits registered with us and have placed over 3,000 candidates onto not-for-profit boards to date.

About Pobal:

Pobal works on behalf of Government, and in conjunction with communities and local agencies, to support social inclusion and local and community development. We do this by managing funding and providing support for circa 31 programmes in the areas of Social Inclusion and Equality, Inclusive Employment and Enterprise, and Early Learning and Care. Allocating €717 million to local and national community organisations in 2020.

Organiser Boardmatch Ireland

Organiser of Charity Trustees' Week Coffee Morning: Reviewing the Skills on Your Board

Boardmatch Ireland is a national governance charity, supporting the development of the community and voluntary sector (the Not-For-Profit sector) by strengthening boards and management committees, primarily through:

  • Matching of candidates from not-for-profit and public sectors onto not-for-profit boards

  • Building the governance capacity of Not-For-Profit boards

  • Enhancing leadership quality and skills sets on Not-For-Profit boards

  • Developing and providing training packages and other supports for boards and board members

  • Fostering links between public, private and not for profit sectors to the benefit of all.

Boardmatch Ireland was established in 2005 to address the skills needs of the governing bodies of not for profit organisations. To date Boardmatch Ireland has matched over 3,000 candidates to the boards of not for profit organisations.
