Children's Craft Kits

As part of the annual Kilkenny Arts Festival the National Design & Craft Gallery have free craft kits for children for the duration of the festival.

Choose from clay coil pots, paper weaving, spoonville and clay monster kits. Each kit has a Youtube link, providing instructions and inspiration.

Simply register for your free craft kit and then call in to the gallery any time from Saturday 7 to Sunday 15 August to collect your kit.

While you are collecting your kits take a few minutes to look at the current ERA Jewellery & Goldsmithing graduate exhibition. The exhibition showcases the high level of craftsmanship and skills honed by the 12 students during the intensive two-year programme.

Just across the road in the Kilkenny Castle Park, you will also find the Irish Craft Heroes exhibition, celebrating 50 years of Irish craft, coinciding with the Design & Crafts Council Ireland's (DCCI) 50th Anniversary since its establishment in 1971.
