About this event
Come and join the award-winning Cantairí Óga Átha Cliath and their musical director, Brian Dungan, for a celebration of some of the finest festive choral music from around the globe.
As part of this Christmas concert, Cantairí Óga Átha Cliath is delighted to give the premiere performance of Ashes in the Wind, a suite of songs commissioned in 2020 with funding from the Arts Council. With words by poet Jessica Traynor, a former member of the choir, and music by composer Tom Lane, Ashes in the Wind explores and commemorates events in Dublin during the War of Independence.
