About this event
Laetare Vocal Ensemble and conductor Róisín Blunnie celebrate Christmas with a concert of carols and winter favourites, all in aid of Focus Ireland.
Join one of Dublin's leading chamber choirs on Tuesday 17th December at 8pm in St Andrew's Church, Westland Row for beautiful Christmas music from the Renaissance to the present, with all proceeds from the concert and the Laetare Christmas raffle going directly to Focus Ireland.
Adm €10/€8 plus booking fee. Doors open at 7.30pm. Concert begins at 8pm.
The programme includes Renaissance pieces by Hassler, Lassus and Philips, well-known carols such as O Little Town of Bethlehem, Once in Royal David's City, Away in a Manger (arr. by Ola Gjeilo), and Silent Night (arr. by Eoin Conway), plus Christmas choral pieces such as A Nywe Werk by Seán Doherty, Aventi Ének by Zoltán Kodály, Hodie by Laura Sheils, and O Holy Night.
