Voyage of Amergin
Join us on the night of 5th April for a night of original compositions of new Irish music and song, by traditional musician and composer, Ciara McElholm. Ciara will showcase her original pieces reintroducing brass instrumentation into Irish traditional music.
The evening will include a performance of The Song of Amergin. According to the 11th Century Book of Invasions, this was the song sung by the Celts when they first arrived off the coast of Ireland.
The concert will feature the Brian Boru Choir and a range of instruments including uileann pipes, concertinas, cello, fiddle, and brass.
