Conference 17

Join us for an inspirational day exploring how HR and L&D professionals are shaping the future of work and the workplace. Much is mooted that technology will rule the future workplace. Often lost in the conversation is the person. CIPD research demonstrates that the future of work is human; and the HR profession is pivotal in carving this future. CIPD Ireland is convening a growing community of business leaders, HR professionals, policy makers, thought-leaders, academics to progress the debate around the future of work is human.

You will engage with lightning talks and café conversations where delegates explore and share whether the future of work really should, can and will be human and if so, how to support, develop and harness the power into a successful, productive and fulfilled workforce!

Why attend?
  • Hear from leading employers and experts on designing the workplace of the future, and how to build a sustainable workplace

  • Gain insight into how we ensure the future of work is human, and how the HR profession is pivotal in carving this future

  • Understand CIPD’s Professional principles and the implications for championing better work and working lives

  • Gain insight from leading employers on how they are laying foundations for the future workplace

  • Contribute your views on how we shape some of the key drivers influencing work today and the future, and the voice of CIPD

  • Learn about tools to help manage the future workforce

Programme highlights

You will hear from Peter Cheese, CEO of CIPD, on what defines a HR professional as he launches the CIPD Professional Principles, part of the journey to define what it will take for the HR profession of the future to meet its full potential.

Thought-leader Elena Antonacopoulou, Professor of Organizational Behaviour at the University of Liverpool Management School, will reflect on how we develop the practices of HR and Learning at individual and organisational level in a time of turmoil.

We will explore what lies behind the idea is the recognition that while work creates value for the economy, for society and for individuals, it is people that are at the heart of that value creation, and so whether we are talking about skills and training, technology and automation, inclusiveness, diversity, leadership or culture, those conversations should be about how we can enable and liberate people to be the best they can be at work, and in so doing, bring more value to themselves, the organisations they work for, and ultimately to society.

Early Bird rate available until 17th March 2017
