Speaker profiles

Elaine Bowers is a Senior Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Executive in the Employer Relations Division of Ibec. Elaine is an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) professional with a wide range of experience across different business sectors. She has a MSc in Applied Environmental Science (QUB), a BSc in Environmental Health (DIT/TCD), a Higher Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (UCD), and a Diploma in Employment Law (TUD).

Mary Brassil, Partner at McCann FitzGerald, specialising in employment, equality and industrial relations law.  She has considerable experience in advising domestic and international clients on the employment law aspects of corporate transactions, restructuring and redundancy programmes.  Her practice includes representing employers in contentious employment law disputes.  She advises on all matters arising out of the employer-employee relationship (such as drafting and negotiating contracts of employment, advising on the implementation of appropriate HR policies and procedures and advising on termination of employment and restrictive covenants).

Moira Grassick is Managing Director of Peninsula, who provide HR, employment law and health & safety support to business in Ireland. This includes CIPD’s Employment Law and wellbeing helplines under Graphite HRM. Moira joined the organisation in 2012 as an HR Consultant, and in that time, her role has progressed significantly into a senior director position within the Group.
