Circuit Arts Festival invites you to a night of virtual poetry and spoken word from some of Galway’s most notable rising voices.
Galway has broken new and exciting ground for Irish literature and spoken word in recent years. Circuit Speaks amplifies this groundswell of talent and candour at a time when we need it most.

Meet our line-up:
Theophilus Ndlovu AKA Theo-touché is a 24-year-old artist, producer and co-founder of Atmos Collective and cofounder of Clan Music (@clanmusicworldwide). A strong-willed individual, Theo-touché finds motivation wherever he goes. “I believe music is a journey of the mind and environment.”

Laura Caffrey is a writer and poetry editor at HeadStuff, with an MA in Writing from NUIG. Laura writes with a visual lucidity that springs from the page. Her poems have appeared in Crannóg and The Stinging Fly, and in 2018 she was shortlisted for the Cúirt New Writing prize.
Francis Lawrence is an emerging poet and Creative Writing student at NUIG. Francis's poems search for meaning in the details of precarious youth and intimacy. His work buzzes with all the eccentricities of Galway life.

Ruth Quinlan is a bold voice in Irish poetry. Based in Galway and born in Kerry, Quinlan was selected for a Heinrich Böll Cottage Writer Residency in 2020 and the Poetry Ireland Introductions Series in 2019. She won the 2018 Galway University Hospital Arts Trust Poems for Patience competition and the 2018 Blue Nib Summer Chapbook competition, among others. She is co-editor of Skylight 47, a poetry magazine based in Galway.
Ikenna Anyabuike aka III.A is an actor, writer and musician. Ikenna’s debut musical project RUSTY was an experimental outlier in underground Irish hip-hop with influences ranging from Boom Bap and Malcom X to Sylvia Plath. After competing as runner up in the All Connacht Grand Slam Champions, Ikenna travelled to England to perform in the UniSlam quarter finals.
