Description

The annual DFAT Civil Society Forum will take place on Monday 10th December 2018 at The Mansion House, Dublin. This year’s Forum coincides with the 70th Anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and will explore the role of the Declaration in today’s changing world.

The Forum will feature three dynamic panel discussions that will examine the universality, interdependence and indivisibility of human rights.

Registration will begin at 9a.m., and the event will run from 9.30a.m. to 4.30 pm. A light lunch and refreshments will be served to all attendees.

Speakers include:

  • Susan Herman, President ACLU
  • Fionnula Ni Aolain, UN Special Rapporteur
  • Gearóid Ó Cuinn, Director of GLAN
  • Patricia King, General Secretary ICTU

Places are limited so early registration through Eventbrite is recommended. We kindly ask anyone who registers for this event, but cannot attend, to cancel their registration on Eventbrite to free spaces for others. Registration will close at 6pm on Thursday 6th December.

Also, please feel free to let us know if you have any special requirements, e.g. ISL interpretation, accessibility, dietary. This will help us in our preparations for the event.
