About this Event

Find out how to trace your Irish ancestry with a guided walk through historic Dublin led by John Ducie a professional genealogist and tour guide who traces ancestry for the Irish diaspora.

Dublin holds the records that facilitate Irish ancestral research within the historic city center: The National Library, The National Archives, The General Registration Office and Dublin City Library.

Participants will be guided to where each of them are located and will have how to conduct research explained. Participants are encouraged to ask questions about individual family trees and seek help with them from the guide.

  • Maximum number of people: 6
  • Location and proposed starting point: Dublin City. Outside The National Library of Ireland on Kildare Street (Closed Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday).
  • The Tour will end at EPIC Ireland, The Museum of Irish Emigration where the story of the Irish Diaspora is told and participants can enter at their expense following lunch if desired (BOOKING ADVISED https://epicchq.com/visit/).
