Event description
A brief history of the 400 years of the Market Town Gorey in Co. Wexford.

About this Event

This German walking tour with Antonella Brunelli will point out how the town was and how the town changed into a lively vibrant contemporary town.

The tour will start from the Market Building, nowadays the Gorey Tourist Visitor Office, in the busy Main street.

We will go to Market Square where Bishop Thomas Ram in 1634 was buried and pass through John Street where the most famous Dean of Saint Patrick Cathedral of Dublin - Johnathan Swift - slept.

The tour will reach the site where the Ram Palace was built and arrive to Charlotte Row where the Arms Hotel once was.

Finally we will reach Gorey Hill where in Mc Curtain st. the 1798 Monument stands and the tour will finish at Christ Church where we will admire the stained glass windows.
