Boot Camp Objectives:

Our objective is to introduce your child to the fantastic world of coding and computer science. Allowing the participants to be comfortable with coding programmes. This camp will allow your child to understand if coding and computer science is an area they would like to continue within.

The online introduction boot classes will be run via Zoom. From 9 am to 12:30 on Thursday 24th. We will have 3 * 15 breaks. What Will We Cover? Coding through Scratch – Interface and Programme Introduction and Exercises – Game Creation plus an introduction to Notepad++ and HTML. ICT Skills – Create folders, save projects to a folder and reopen projects.

Parents: As this is a beginner’s boot camp. Having an adult to assist initially will make the child comfortable and confident. After the first 30 to 60 minutes the child should be comfortable to continue solo but may need occasional assistance.
