Event Details

This November Dublin will host a unique celebration of the life and influence of Colm Cille, as part of a project examining the artistic legacy of this Irish Saint. Colm Cille: The Object is part of the larger programme of Colm Cille’s Spiral – a collaborative project between Dublin City Council and partners in the UK, led by Difference Exchange. Colm Cille’s Spiral is a re-imagining of the legacy of the Saint through a series of contemporary art and literature commissions, and dialogues, starting and ending in Derry-Londonderry as part of City of Culture 2013. Each of the six locations taking part will restage an element of their project at the London Street Gallery in Derry from 30th November to 14th December 2013.

Colm Cille: The Object will offer an opportunity to encounter the rich repository of objects and manuscripts associated with Colm Cille that can be found in Dublin.

Tickets are priced at €10 per person: price includes admission to the Book of Kells, Marsh’s Library and a copy of the Colm Cille: The Object catalogue
