Event description

Description

Dublin poet/writer Colm Keegan teaches in schools, prisons, community centres, and addiction support groups across the country. His poems evoke what it’s like to live in a Dublin that avoids cliched description. His poetry, observes writer/poet Dermot Bolger, “brims with frenetic energy and a hard-earned street-wise lyricism, bereft of false notes or unearned experience." Colm’s latest collection, Randomer, is published by Salmon Poetry Press. Colm has been shortlisted 4 times for the Hennessy New Irish Writing Award. His debut full-length play ‘For Saoirse’ was staged in the Axis Theatre, Dublin as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival 2018 and was nominated for the Fishamble New Writing Award. This is a Poetry for Beginners workshop so no experience is necessary.
