Event description
Is free speech dying in Ireland? Compass event, in partnership with the EBI are proud to present Declan Ganley, Ian O'Doherty and Sarah Ryan

About this Event

On Tuesday September 17th, Compass - in partnership with the Edmund Burke Institute -will be hosting our first event of th autumn in Buswell's hotel a 7pm.

At a time when our political debates are becoming ever more stale and in an environment where minority opinions ar being squeezed out, our distinguished panel of businessman Declan Ganley, journalist Ian O'Doherty and Sarah Ryan will be discussing whether free speech is dying out in Ireland, what the greatest threats to it are and what we can do to defend it.

The Compass series is a programme of thought-provoking events for young adults between the ages of 18-35, and it is aimed at promoting a culture of respectful and open debate about topical issues in Irish society. We want every event to feature a true diversity of viewpoints, and in the coming months we will be putting together more top-quality panel-based events on a range of issues.

Tickets cost €5 and can be purchased here on eventbrite before the event Spaces are limited, so be sure to book your ticket soon so that you do not miss out. This event is strictly for 18-35 year-olds.

We look forward to seeing you!
