exploring neural circuitry, memory, and perception through dance theatre
About this event
CONDUIT is a dance theatre project exploring the brain as an electronic device and how our neural circuitry leads to perception, memory, and the mind. Performances will have short talks and a dance theatre piece expressing the ideas discussed, starting at 7pm. Before each performance, there will be an interactive pre-show featuring neuroscience-inspired activities in the O'Donoghue Centre foyer, starting at 6:30pm.
Co-created by Deidre Cavazzi (Saddleback College) & Jessamyn Fairfield (NUI Galway)
Short talks from Richard Roche (University of Maynooth) & Mossy Kelly (Atlantic TU)
Funded by the Irish Research Council through their New Foundations STEAM award.
