Description

This conference seeks to explore the impact of the Easter Rising and subsequent events in Irish political and cultural history through the lens of music. Conference talks cover many aspects of music and music-making in Ireland from the revolutionary period to the present. The conference includes a concert of music performed by staff and students of DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. This event is hosted by DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama in Rathmines and is held in association with the Society for Musicology in Ireland (SMI).
