“Connecting the Patient to Pharmacy" conference which takes place on Friday 14th October in The K Club, Straffan, Co Kildare. This event is being run in partnership between Real World Retail and McLernon Computers.
The conference will explore the changes that are potentially coming down the line and ways for community pharmacy to not only adapt to these changes but exploit the opportunities that always come with change. Our keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Johnny Walker. Dr. Walker is a clinically active Interventional Radiologist and Nuclear Physician, International Medical Entrepreneur and Mentor focussed on disrupting Healthcare for the better.
As the UK is seen to be further down the road in terms of the reduction of payments for dispensing to community pharmacy and replacing these with payments for the delivery of pharmaceutical services, we are happy to invite Michael Guerin, co-founder of the MediCare Pharmacy Group in Northern Ireland, to share with us how pharmacy has evolved there and how this may apply to the supply chain in pharmacy in the Republic of Ireland.
We will also have a representative from the Chief Information Office in the Department of Health – a group responsible for the introduction of the Individual Healthcare Identifier and a number of eHealth and, more particularly, ePharmacy initiatives.
This invitation is non-transferable; the content is specifically for owners of independent pharmacies and head office managers of groups. There is one free ticket per independent pharmacy and two per group, additional attendees must apply for a ticket and is priced at €75 per person which just covers our direct cost. Places are limited so book your place today!
The organisers would recommend you would use the N7 to ensure that you are brought to the main entrance of the venue. Those who chose to travel on the N4 please be aware that you may be brought to the back entrance of the venue.
