About this event
Conor Linehan was a dlr musician in residence in 2018 and this concert features three gorgeous pieces for violin and piano performed by Conor and Oonagh Keogh. Written during his dlr residency the music reflects his memories of growing up in Blackrock in the 70s and 80s. Conor will also include a piece form Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin in tribute to his late, lamented friend and colleague Emma O'Kane who performed her own choreography for Le Tombeau as part of the residency.
Conor enjoys a varied career as a pianist, composer and a member of the keyboard faculty of the Royal Irish Academy of Music. He has written theatre scores for all of Ireland's major theatre companies as well as concert works for Irish National Opera, Music Network, Dublin International Piano Competition and many others. As a pianist, he has performed regularly as soloist and orchestral pianist with the National Symphony Orchestra and RTÉ Concert Orchestra. Conor has just completed a Doctorate in Performance.
