  • Reasons for contract disputes and claims and how to avoid / minimise them
  • Techniques available to resolve contract disputes
  • Summary of present trends in the Irish market relating to contract disputes/ claims.

Billy is dual qualified as a Chartered Civil Engineer and an LLM in Construction Law & Arbitration. He is a board member and Fellow of the Irish Branch, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Very experienced in both heavy civil engineering and urban residential development he specialises in project delivery and project / commercial dispute resolution. Billy is a Member of the Engineers Ireland Dispute Resolution Panel and regularly acts as Conciliator, Standing Conciliator, Mediator and Neutral Assessor / Mediator in construction projects and TII CPO land acquisition matters. He also specialises in meaningful project stakeholder engagement and public consultation.
