ConTempo Countrywide Concert & Book Launch of Away with the Fairies

In conjunction with the ConTempo Countrywide series and The Galway Music Residency, The Claregalway Castle are delighted to present a very special lunchtime concert on Tuesday 23rd November, 2021 at Claregalway Castle.

The ConTempo Quartet will perform a lunchtime concert starting at 12.45pm where local audiences will be treated to a 60 minute programme of varied classical and contemporary works.The Quartet was chosen as Galway Music Residency's Ensemble in Residence in 2003 and continues to captivate audiences throughout the city and county with its repertoire of classical, contemporary, folk and traditional music.

The Concert will be followed by the launch of ‘Away with the Fairies’ a wonderful new book from Galway Historian, Author, and Columnist, Mr Willy Henry.

The book will be launched by well-known Journalist and Editor of the Tuam Herald, Mr David Burke.

The Castle Cafe will be open on the day serving tea, coffee and a selection of cakes from Goyas Bakery.

In line with Covid-19 regulations, you must present your Covid-19 Certificate in order to attend the event. Face coverings are mandatory and must be worn at all times throughout the performance.
