Crossroads Music and The Solely Blues Club presents: COREY HARRIS
Corey Harris is an American blues and reggae musician, currently residing in Virginia. Along with Keb' Mo' and Alvin Youngblood Hart, he raised the flag of acoustic guitar blues in the mid-1990's.
Corey comes to Arhturs to play at The Solely Blues Club, Irelands only dedicated acoustic blues night.
Along with some of the usual players of pre 1960's acoustic blues Corey will play some oringial music and influences that created his unique blues style. He counts Sleepy John Estes, Fred McDowell, Charlie Patton, Muddy Waters, Booker White as influnences and Ali Farka Toure whom he appeared with in Martin Scorsese's 2003 documentary The Blues.
