Cork Climate Conversations - Business Sector

Cork City Council is inviting stakeholders from multiple sectors in a series of Cork Climate Conversations to inform the development of a new Cork City Climate Action Plan. This particular conversation relates to Cork's business community.

Last year, Cork and Dublin were the Irish cities selected to participate in the European Union’s Mission to achieve 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities.

The mission has three main elements to deliver a roadmap to climate neutrality:

• Climate Action Plan
• Investment Plan
• Climate City Contract

The Cork City Climate Action Plan is a crucial first step in a city-wide effort to combat climate change and create a sustainable future for Cork. We believe that your input, as businesses big and small, is essential in creating a comprehensive, effective and deliverable plan that addresses the bespoke challenges facing our city's communities.

During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to provide your insights and feedback on the potential strategies and actions to be included in the Cork City Climate Action Plan.

The workshop will be led by local experts in the field of climate change and will include interactive sessions designed to encourage meaningful discussion and collaboration.

The workshop will take place on Thursday 8th June in the Clayton Hotel, Lapps Quay, Cork City from 9am to 11:30am.
