The Mayor of the County of Cork, Councillor Gillian Coughlan, will host a Midsummer Charity Ball on Friday 10th June 2022 at Cork County Hall.
It promises to be a stylish and social affair and will reflect the Mayor’s passion for supporting the best of Cork County while raising funds for three local charities who make lives better - Breakthrough Cancer Research, the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Appeal for Cork County and the West Cork Women Against Violence Project.
On the night, guests will be joined by RTE sports pundit Marty Morrissey, RTE One’s Ireland’s Fittest Family coach, host of RTE 2FM Breakfast, and Irish rugby legend Donncha O’Callaghan, and C103’s Patricia Messinger.
Tickets to this glamourous black tie evening of fine dining, entertainment, dancing and fun include a drinks reception, a three-course Taste of Cork County meal, wine and entertainment in the unique setting of Cork County Hall. 100% of profits will go to charity.

Irish Red Cross Ukraine Appeal. The humanitarian situation caused by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine is increasingly desperate, with hundreds of thousands of people without food, water, heat, or medical care. The Red Cross is working around the clock to deliver vital services to millions of people impacted by the conflict. In Ukraine, more than 4,000 Red Cross volunteers are responding and are delivering urgent assistance such as food, water, fuel for heating, hygiene items and medical supplies. In neighbouring countries (Belarus, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia and Slovakia), Red Cross National Societies are also urgently responding and are providing life-saving support to people arriving from Ukraine. Red Cross volunteers are distributing food, water, bedding, clothes and basic aid items on both sides of the border and are providing medical care and psychosocial support for those in need.www.redcross.ie
