Event description

Description

Cork Discovers – A World of Research, is a series of FREE and exciting interactive events for all ages taking place in multiple venues across Cork City on Friday, September 28th, 2018. Join us to explore topics ranging from Archaeology to Zoology, and learn about how research impacts on our daily lives.

An international team of researchers will demonstrate what they really do for society as well as answering some interesting and amusing questions. For example, do you want to know how to build your own Star Wars set? Have you ever wondered if scientists really can “un-extinct” an animal? Or why do elephants have long noses and why don’t bananas grow on humans?

Come along to Cork Discovers and find out and try your hand at being a researcher! There is sure to be something of interest to participants of all ages.

For more information, as well as the programme, visit www.CorkDiscovers.org and find us on social media @CorkDiscovers

This European Researchers' NIGHT project is funded by the European Commission under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.
