The Research Development Office and the Centre for Teaching and Learning present:

COST Actions: Opportunities, Experiences and getting involved

Agenda:

Introduction and brief overview of COST

Identifying funding, research and other opportunities within COST and participating in COST actions

Experiences of applying for COST and being a COST grant holder.

This seminar's speakers include Dr. Alison Farrell and Dr. Sharon Tighe-Mooney from the Centre for Teaching and Learning who are currently running a COST action (PI and Grant Manager), and Dr. Miriam Ryan Short-Term Scientific Mission manager for COST BESTPRAC.

COST projects or “Actions” are networks centred around nationally funded research projects in fields that are of interest to at least five COST countries.

COST is an intergovernmental framework for European Cooperation in Science and Technology allowing the coordination of nationally-funded research on a European level.
