Couch To Canicross 5K

New to running and want to run with your dog too? Want to know the basics of canicross, slowly building up your own fitness so that you can keep up with your dog?

Well then, the Pawsitive Fitness Couch to Canicross 5k Training Programme is perfect for you!

This is a 6 week programme, consisting of 3 runs at home yourself per week as well as one day of brisk walking. We will also have a fitness class once a week via the dedicated Facebook group, which will be recorded for you to watch if you cannot make the class. Where weather permits, we can meet in the Phoenix Park for a canicross run as part of one of the weekly runs.

At the end of the 6 weeks, you will be well on the road to running a 5k in one go. Those of you who want a challenge can then sign up for the Pawsitive Fitness Woofborough Canicross event on 12th September in Russborough House, Wicklow.

The Facebook page will cover all of the basics of canicross including equipment and commands as well .

The cost for the programme is €50 (our physical Couch to Canicross classes normally cost €60), so you'll be getting the same plan PLUS an additional fitness class each week too. You'll also get a certificate of completion. 😉

PLEASE NOTE: due to the weather being so hot, we encourage you to do these runs without your dog, or have your dog off lead with you if possible. If the weather is cool enough to canicross, we advise that you do it early in the morning or late at night to keep your dog safe

After you register, you will be sent an email with the link to the private Facebook group, where we will share videos, articles, your runs for the week and where the fitnes classes will be held.
