About this event

On 5 May 1921 the Ulster Unionist leader James Craig met Sinn Féin president Éamon de Valera on Howth Road in Dublin for their one and only meeting. This talk looks at how this meeting came about in the first place, what was discussed at it, and its overall impact.

Cormac Moore is Historian in Residence with Dublin City Council. He holds a PhD in history from De Montfort University in Leicester and a Masters degree in Modern Irish History from UCD. He is author of Birth of the Border: The Impact of Partition in Ireland.
