Event description
Are your secondary school students passionate about sustainable fashion?

About this event

This workshop examines the issue of fast fashion through a global citizenship lens. The clothing choices we make in Ireland have environmental, social, and economic consequences for the rest of the world. Students are increasingly conscious of the environmental and ethical footprint of their consumption choices. However, it can be complicated to navigate greenwashing and misinformation when exploring this topic with students

Our 2 hour workshop will help Irish post-primary teachers to:

  • Adopt a global citizenship perspective on fast fashion
  • Discover resources and activities to critically explore this topic in class
  • Empower post-primary students in action projects
  • Share their own successful resources and approaches

Please note, this workshop is aimed at secondary school teachers and school leaders in Ireland. Primary teachers and other educators in Ireland are welcome, but should know that the discussion will revolve around teaching fast fashion at a secondary school level.
